Communities where Christ is least known
Abancay
The Apurímac region of Peru has a small but eager church that is making a great effort to reach the remaining 90 percent of the least reached Quechua villages in the area. The SIM Abancay team comes alongside this effort, partnering with the Peruvian organisation, AIDIA (Interdenominational Association for the Holistic Development of Apurímac), assisting with ministries that help in church strengthening, church planting, and community development. SIM Abancay ministries include water projects and training, dental clinics and training of local dental personnel, camp ministries, and oral Bible teaching. Local Abancay believers partner with these ministries to transform the Apurímac region in a holistic way.
Cotahuasi
SIM has a team in the Cotahuasi Canyon region engaging in friendship evangelism. Living in a village among the Quechua people, they share the Gospel through village outreach, Bible study meetings with both children and adults, teaching children in a local school, and helping at Radio Senda Cristiana.
